General. Synchronous proctoring without writing to a slot

If testing does not require pre-scheduling in the calendar, then to take the test, it is sufficient to start testing at the scheduled time.

Important! If you plan to take the test on Mac OS, change the security settings in the operating system according to the instructions.

The beginning of the exam

Authorization and acceptance of proctoring terms

  • Select the required testing and click on the "Proceed" button

Please note that the Start button is available 15 minutes before the start of the test, but the exam itself will be available at the appointed time.


  • Read the procedure for passing the test and confirm your consent.



Checking your device

  • In the pop-up window, allow access to the camera and microphone:

  • In the pop-up window requesting access to the desktop, click on the desktop image and then on the "Share" button:


  • Wait for the end of the hardware check:


Identification of the person

  • Take a photo on demand on the screen.
  • After refreshing the page, click on the "Send" button.

Important! The request for a photo can be anything - a photo of a person or a document. Pay attention to the inscription on the screen.

Show your workplace

Take a webcam or laptop in your hands and demonstrate the desktop surface:


  • Please read the exam rules carefully before proceeding with it:



  • Allow access to view text and images on the clipboard:

During testing

  • To expand the Examus dashboard, click on the chat icon:

  • You can move the panel by holding down the dot icon with the left mouse button:

To attach an attachment, click on the paperclip icon.

  • The exam rules are displayed above the chat feed. Prohibited options are indicated in gray, and allowed options are indicated in green. Hover your mouse over the rule icon to see the description.

  • Using the chat on the right side of the screen, you can communicate with the projector throughout the exam.

  • In the chat, the projector can send messages and warnings that will be displayed in the chat, and will also appear in a pop-up message in the lower right corner of the screen:

  • It is necessary to be in the frame during the entire exam:

  • In the test window, click the "Start testing" button and get to work.
  • Be sure to pay attention to the timer that displays the time remaining until the end of the exam:

End of testing

If you are confident in your answers and are ready to submit them for verification, click
"Finish the attempt"

Note: The name, position, and appearance of the test completion button may vary from system to system.

After you have clicked Finish trying, the following image may appear:


In the lower right corner of the screen, you can see a message and the progress of uploading video files to the server.


You need to wait until all the files are downloaded and then you can close the browser window or tab.

Important! If you have completed the first exam and you need to start solving the next one, but in Examus you see only the completed exam available, and next to it the "Continue" button, then you need to complete the session of the first exam:


  • Click the "Continue" button;
  • Re-confirm the Examus Rules review stage;
  • Go through the hardware check again and click the "Continue" button;
  • In testing, make sure that all your answers are saved and the exam in moodle is completed
  • Expand the sidebar and complete the exam:

Then close the tab.

  • In a new tab, launch Examus, select the next exam to solve from the list.
